Not an excuse for not even looking at the guy's file when you have a


detailed record of his entire professional life and any notable misconduct in his personal life for the last 30 years over at the DOD.

Yes, you would hope the Obama admin. would have found that too, and its curious they seemingly ignored it, but given the trouble the Trump admin has had with nominees, and the knowledge that Jackson was already easily unqualified from an administrative standpoint, there is no excuse for not vetting the hell out of his record.
