qualified to run the V.A. is a valid issue to discuss. If we are going to discount his nomination, however, on the basis of unproven accusations, then my question is perfectly legitimate. After all, it's not as if Jackson was some low level figure operating in anonymity. He was a well known and highly visible individualif he was committing crimes in his role as a governmental employee, we have a right to know. If a blind eye was turned to his actions (if the accusations are true), then someone should be held accountable. It's unlikely that Pres. Obama had knowledge of such things, thoughunless he was one hell of a micro-manager. That doesn't mean, though, that others in his administration who did have knowledge of any inappropriate or illegal actions by Jackson and failed to act should not be held accountable.
