What's this?

That's not a well thought out post. The current focus is on the policy of

prosecuting all adults crossing the border, including those with families, and also separating children from "offending" parents. That is a brand new policy. And it is being applied even to families who come to America to apply for asylum, which REQUIRES crossing the border.

Yes, we have long put unaccompanied minors illegally crossing the border in government detention centers pending foster care placement.
Yes we have long deported illegals, some years in very high numbers. Some of them had children born in this country and some elected to leave their children here. So there was a separation, but a partially voluntary and usually manageable separation.

But those are different topics. I'm not sure what else we COULD do with unaccompanied minors, and I have consistently opposed deporting productive and law abiding illegals.

What we are doing NOW is different. Ergo, it's a topic of conversation.
And apparently just another topic to be trolled.
