I don't necessarily disagree with anything you've written. But it is
our politicians we need to look at for all the "fake" news bruhaha; and this goes way back further than Trump who I agree is a promotor and knows how to stroke the crowd. However, Obama lied, blatantly, to get Obamacare through a Democratic Congress; Bush overstated and lied about the Patriot Act and the govt accessing emails, texts, calls, etc of citizens; throw in Congress and pols on both sides adding "poison pills" into otherwise agreeable legislation for no other purpose than to use a no vote as campaign fodder to suggest their opponents don't support veterans, the poor, or whatever and it is clear pols, on both sides, aren't telling lies but are knowingly not telling the whole truth. When the MSM mentions this but doesn't beat the pols about the head with it, it is frustrating to those of us who realize that every issue is not black or white and that those on the other side aren't heathens that need to be marginalized. Trump is bombastic in delivery but isn't doing anything other pols don't also do, IMHO. Remember, Obama would shun interviews with the major reporters with the MSM in favor of local reporters from local papers wherever he visited AND gave very few press presentations because, reportedly, he felt he didn't need the MSM, or their questions, to get his message out because of social media.
