Thanks. Follow up, how do you feel about the media that ran the hacked
material? They're basically printing stolen material. Do they have any culpability? Or do you view that like a "leak" or them just getting out the news? And if so, do you view Wikileaks any differently than NYT, WaPo, etc. running that material?
And for the moment, don't consider that it damaged Hillary/DNC, but rather how would you feel if it was the other direction? Did you feel the same about the Trump tax return page that was also obtained through illegal/illicit means, for example? Or when Buzzfeed ran the dossier?
I always found that a bit sleazy, whether it was here, the Sony hack, hacked personal nude photos or celebs, etc., but the media seems to always be given a pass on putting out what is "stolen material". Rarely do I recall them ever being called out for doing so, and I fall prey to that too, since I do think bringing the truth to light in general is a good thing.
Edit - And FTR I do think your subject line would've been a much better correction, and one that Trump should've been able to find acceptable. For that matter, what I expected him to say yesterday, with a "don't ever pull that chit again on my watch" added. [Post edited by Hoodafan at 07/17/2018 4:52PM]
