Your charts show that other than the top 20%, real growth has averaged


less than 1% per year for 80% of the people, while the top 5% grew 4% that rate. And I bet if the chart showed Top 1%, then the rest of the top quintile, then the other twintiles, you would see even MORE separation between the very top and the rest of the country.
When tens of millions of people can not afford decent housing, health care, higher education...they look for other answers. I think the author made a good point.
