I recently read a quote from Dwight Eisenhower made to the Republican

Women's National Conference in 1956. This speaks not only to voter suppression but also to the naked lame-duck power grabs happening in Wisconsin, Michigan and North Carolina.

"If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power."

I'd love to know some additional context for this quote, but for me it calls into question what the GOP has become.
