more equality and less of what we tend to have in this country, which is people “born on third” who tend to be successful (because they are set up for success from day one and never really have to worry about failure), while others are born with the stars aligned against them.

There is all the economic theory youre kicking around as well as the notion that we already spend a ton on social programs and simply throwing money at public works doesnt seem to do much, etc. i get that. But I do think some on thenfar left simply want to reduce wealth inequality when its all said and done. I think that is the real source of unequal trajectories for people who are born poor vs rich. We are also seeing the buying power of the middle class diminish over time too.

Personally think that is where a lot of the far, far lefties come from whether they come out and say it or not.
