It claims not doing this will cost us $500Billion in lost economic output per year in the US by 2100. Now that's certainly a big scary number that will dupe folks into thinking this is a good investment but how exactly is that calculated and shown to be true? What will be the lost economic output from doing this? Will there be any adaptation by our economy through technology, etc. to offset some of lost economic output? Our economy seems to keep rolling along while we haven't been doing this. And is that even a realistic number to begin with, or should we just accept it as "fact" because it's there?

It addresses things like the gender gap that results in women earning approximately 80% of men on average. It addresses guaranteeing a job with adequate family sustaining wages, adequate family and medical leave, paid vacations and retirement security to all people of the U.S. It addresses the rights of all workers to organize, unionize, and have collective bargaining. It addresses wage and hour standards across all sectors. Now ignoring for the moment the laughable claims and lack of explanation as to how exactly we will ensure these things, how exactly do those things impact "climate change" again?

And it intends to do this by also apparently ending all use of Nukes, and while I don't recall it being addressed specifically, they aren't fans of hydro either. So this will all happen thanks to wind and solar alone? How? And how does it address this issue around the World? Should we go to war with China, India, etc. if they don't adapt the same approach? This is our generation's WWII after all.

But all of that is mostly beside the point. Those supporting this speculative and undefined nonsense should be convincing others why it should be supported. It is not up to the naysayers to convince the partisans why they shouldn't. Yet they can't or won't defend it. They simply attack, insult, and claim you just hate puppy dogs. It's a not serious document that deserves to not be taken seriously.
