Who's not accepting the consequences of elections?


Repubs controlled both chambers for 2 years, no wall and no resulting emergency, then they lost the House. Congress holds the purse strings, and now Trump demands wall funding. As it relates to this situation, Trump isn't accepting results of elections.

I think the answer to Bonsack's original question depends on what Trump does with emergency powers - they're not unlimited under the Watergate era law that allows for this - and then how the courts opine. Because I'm guessing they'll get their chance. I'm also interested to see how completely repubs fall in line.

I'm thinking our checks and balances will prevail, but "Trump" and "emergency powers" make for a troubling combination.
