Southern border crossings are at their lowest levels in 45 years.
The country has survived perfectly fine with southern border crossing numbers as much as 4 times higher than what we have now.
So how does something at its lowest levels in 45 years constitute an emergency? It doesn't.
And even the US government has ZERO facts that show that walls on the southern border are effective at keeping people, drugs, etc. out of the country. I could link a couple government reports that explain how Customs & Border Patrol was scheduled to have developed metrics by January 2019 to be able to analyze the effectiveness of walls, but to date, no such evidence of their effectiveness exists.
So the President has declared a national emergency that isn't an emergency because of the facts stated above, and he has done so to implement a solution for which there is no evidence that solution will fix the problem that isn't an emergency in the first place.
