I can accept that it was an unintentional poor choice of words that comes

across as dismissive of a painful moment in our history. The thrust of her point was a fair one; that Muslims on the whole received undue suspicion and hostility following 9/11.

My worry is that it's yet another parapraxis from a harmful underlying worldview (that it was in a speech to CAIR is a red flag). It's on top of multiple slips / apologies over comments regarding Jewish people.
