It’s forgivable for journalists to be wrong when they are reporting on d


developing stories or in trusting sources that may end up being wrong as long as: (1) they are acting in good faith and (2) they are abiding by professional norms.

I have seen no evidence that the buzzfeed stories violated this rule.

That newsmax article was something different. It is more akin to the horrors of dihydrogyn monoxide (see link) but it is not a joke. It is conscious misleading.
