you that. I honestly don't care about the argument about legitimacy of the Mueller thing in this context. Just briefly, it takes two to tango, and in the most direct sense the years of investigation have more to do with Trump's decision to fire Comey than anything else. Without that, there may never have been a special investigation. So please, let's not sit here and litigate the appropriateness of the investigations. It's not even relevant.

There is no reason that a dispute and the business of the country can't go on at the same time. That's the president's job. I do it all the time in my job - I've been in situations where we are in a legal dispute on one issue with a counterparty and working together on another. It happens all the time in business, diplomacy, government, sports, you name it. The president is using theater to do - I don't know what - pressure Congressional dems to back off? Just show his offense at all the mean things being said about him? I have no idea and I don't care, because in any case the president's job is to do the business of the country - under great circumstances, poor circumstances, and really combative circumstances. Under all circumstances.

The dems in this case dutifully showed up to do the business of the country in an area where there is at least fledgling common ground. Trump is the obstacle to that attempt, 100%, in this case.

I think both parties share some blame in all this scandal hunting. But that's irrelevant here - one party is blocking even just discussions on our crumbling infrastructure.
