That's sort of my point... are administrators supposed to have a


position? Are they supposed to bite their tongue so as to not offend somebody? Should that position depend on the truth or local politics? It sounds from the article that this was more a case of the principal merely avoiding taking a position, not that he himself is not convinced of the holocaust.

Imagine the uproar from the religious liberty crowd if a teacher said "sorry Johnny, but regardless of what your book and your parents say, the earth is 4.5 billion years old, not 6,000 and man did indeed evolve from earlier primates". There are plenty of places where he would be fired. That is wrong, of course. In this case OF COURSE the principal should have been able to explain the holocaust in whatever the context of the original conversation was. The fact that he felt he couldn't might say more about the school district and local politics than the principal.
