The concern for the safety journalists is touching.....not.

Ngo is known as a conservative "journalist". Leaving aside the whole question of journalistic advocacy, it is pretty clear that the concern is that a person with conservative sympathies got roughed up and less so that he is something of a journalist.

If the concern was authentic about journalism and journalists, we have plenty of concerns about them being habitually described as enemies of the people and providing cover for those who have them murdered.
