There have been whistle blower complaints against the president of abuse of pwoer and obstruction of juctice, which are gorunds for impeachment. Those charges are being investigated by House committees. If they find that there is enough evidence to impeach, there will be a vote of impeachment in the House. Then the senate will hold a trial and like in any investigation leading to a trial, at that point the prez can present whatever argument and defenses he has.
