These aren't really political rallies, so maybe we should stop thinking....


of them as such.

They are just mainstreaming and legitimizing hate.

It isn't just Nazis who show up at Trump rallies, it is all other stripes of far right entities, much lesser known, but no less, in terms of being divorced from American ideals.

These aren't political rallies, they are tent show style revivals of recrimination, victimization, and hate. These rallies have more in common with rallies held in Germany in the 1920s and 30s by the National Socialists than with a traditional American political rally, where economic and foreign policies are the focus.
