The problem is that this information came out? That's the outrage?
Along the lines of our discussion yesterday, I will even concede that the dems and anti-Trumpies everywhere are suffering from "the boy who cried wolf" effect. I was never comfortable with "he's not our president!" protests beginning the day after the election, and while I think Trump brought the Mueller investigation down on himself, the endless impeachment drumbeat was IMO always rash, emotional, unrealistic, and threatened to close the unconverted to considering new info. At a certain point, people just roll their eyes.
But if this were a dem pres, you'd want to know all about it. You have to admit that. The fact that this info was revealed - leaked if you prefer - would not be the outrage. The national security advisor's reactions to what he calls a rogue operation would.
What's your limit with Trump? Is there one? Or you're just waiting with crossed fingers for the Durham report to make this all better? If that's your game, how are you any different from the dems you howled at for waiting for Mueller to save them from Trump?
Trump's POTUS. It's a hard job, and it is always under attack. The attacks on Trump are so relentless and sharp mainly because of Trump - because of the very qualities that make so many of his fans love him. But the POTUS has a responsibility to put the country's interests first, no matter how persecuted he thinks he is by his opponents. There is nothing admirable about a POTUS standing up to attack after attack....by obstructing lawful inquiries and attacking the country's vital institutions.
