good news. Who the "winners" are will depend. If Turkey basically achieved what it wanted to achieve and then agreed to a cease fire, then I guess they're a winner. And they avoid sanctions and maybe get Trump to reholster his favorite weapon - tariffs. Does the cease fire somehow get Assad to pull back, or has he in a week consolidated more control over northern Syria, with the Kurds now in their pockets? What about Russia's interests? What's become of the ISIS prisoners?

For Trumpies, I understand the desire to spike the ball. At this point, we don't even know if the cease fire will hold. Let's let things settle down before celebrating too much.
