Lt. General Hertling criticizes Mattis' criticisms, then says this,
"The young folks in our military are constantly debating now more than I’ve ever seen them do this, there is an active discussion going on with the junior leaders about the civil military-relationship. And in the time of Trump, it is deteriorated to a degree where it’s causing divisions in the military as well."
Now Mattis is retired. No longer "Property of", but it sure sounds like Hertling thinks orange doesn't go all that well with our uniforms either.
To the more MUCH MORE serious aspect here, this is another example of military personnel openly discussing the fact that there are significant portions of our military discussing whether they should continue to have to answer to their civilian leaders. I have posted other articles describing exactly this issue. The division in the US is real and dangerous. It isn't caused by one party and, in fact, isn't even coming only from within.
