It's either that or Trump. My objections to Liz are about policy.
My objections to Trump are so much deeper than just policy disagreements. So, like in every election, we realistically have two choices. We can go third party, but if you do that in a battleground state, you're still giving your vote to one of the major party candidates.
A moderate supporting Warren because he or she thinks Trump is a threat to our foreign policy, our reliability as a international partner, not to mention his current leadership role in the worldwide nationalist movement, and his attempts to tear down fundamental checks and balances in this country, hasn't ceased to be a moderate because the other choice is an uber-progressive. Unfortunately, the choice in that scenario is uber-demagogue-autocrat-nationalist vs uber-progressive. Can't help it that the extremes of both parties rule the nominating process.
We all used to accept that we have to choose between lesser evils. Now, a vote is viewed as some sort of "gotcha moment!" A vote for Trump makes you a racist, or for Liz makes you a socialist. That attitude is part of the reason that the extreme ends of both parties have such outsized power. [Post edited by hoolstoptheheels at 10/25/2019 10:28AM]
