It's an attitude that challenges the notion that we're all Americans and in this shitstorm together. And it is a little scary. A sense of a national cohesiveness fraying at the edges. Trump and his non-stop horseshit - starting way back during his campaign, when he intimated that we should have a national registry of all Muslim residents, a la Nazi Germany. He should be called out for all that; there should be 0 tolerance for his race baiting and intolerance.

But that really has no bearing on this growing idea that the other side of the aisle are all scum. If that attitude continues to fester and grow in this country, I don't want to be around when it all comes to a head.
