Yes. The narrative is easy to follow and consistent.


Trump wanted dirt on Biden (who held a lead over Trump in polls) as well as evidence that Ukrainians were behind the 2016 election hacks. He saw an opportunity when Zelensky, a political neophyte, took office, and so used U.S. power and influence to get him to cooperate -- if not an actual investigation, at least very public airing from Ukraine heading into an election year. If state department people got in the way, they were sidelined. Whistleblower comes forward, plan is nixed and aid released.
