So it is true that Biden did seek to have removed a prosecutor who was, in that sense, “investigating Burisma.” But he wasn’t doing that. I think there is factual evidence showing he had sat on that file, and others, for months. That he was pals with the oligarch who owned Burisma. So the construct that “Biden got the prosecutor fired who was investigating his son’s employer” is to me sophistry, though not “lying.”

That doesn’t mean, to me, that it was in any way proper for Hunter Biden to profit off his father’s position in that way, and I can’t fathom why Joe would take the assignment he did given the obvious appearance of familial conflict of interest. I do not think Biden should be the Democratic nominee for a number of reasons, and lack of judgment is among them.
