Again, I wasn't arguing with Blah (or you here) that there are better ways to approach this with the world presenting a unified front. My point is that you guys are criticizing the how, while ignoring what's actually being done compared to what was done in the past and/or intended by the alternative. And that not doing it the way you and I might prefer, doesn't equal to "alienating" our allies.
