Anyone safer. In fact everything I’ve seen states the opposite. There are plenty of valid reasons to own guns. Having any Joe Schmo carrying them down the street simply because they haven’t been proven incompetent doesn’t make sense to me. Just because you are a responsible gun owner doesn’t ensure everyone is. Rather than proving incompetence as a reason to take guns I think you should have to prove competence to have them.
