person of the year is pretty ridiculous. While I applaud her passion for a cause she cares deeply about... words like "People are suffering. People are dying" as a result of climate change is a joke. There has never been a better time to be alive. Yes, people are suffering. People have always suffered. But the percentage of people suffering is far less than it's ever been. Take a look at the attached chart. If you graphed global CO2 emissions against it, you'd see a very strong inverse correlation.

You want to see suffering and dying... go rashly implement policies that result in the the level of reductions in emissions that scientists say are needed in the next 10 years to stave off climate disaster. Death and suffering indeed. How does Ms Thunberg think we're going to feed 8 billion with an 80% reduction to current emissions levels? The food production fairy? Oh, that's right, she doesn't think about inconvenient things like that because she's a dopey teenager that doesn't have to.
