Unrest and change in Iran has long been considered inevitable By Iranian experts. The majority of Iranians, particularly the younger generations, do not hate America and are opposed to the theology driven form of government they endure. There had been substantial protest across the country in late 2019, largely by lower wealth strata citizens, which were met by some severe cracked downs from the government which was further enflaming emotions. Then we killed their general and briefly sentiments changed, and we became the enemy.
Then they shot down that plane, a plane that was carrying apparently many Wealthier, better educated Iranians, which has inflamed the upper strata.
