This is tough. I was a longtime Scout (didn't make Eagle, but my brother did). Both my sons are Cub Scouts. I'm friends with the leader of my oldest's pack, so I've gotten a look at all the training and rules in place to prevent all of this. I still think it's valuable for kids.

But I also remember the scoutmaster a couple of towns over who went to prison for child molestation. And I don't doubt for a second that the BSA squashed a lot of these incidents, just like the Catholic Church.
