I see three options, none of which are great

(1) Sanders wins the nomination, much like Trump did for the GOP. He divides and conquers a divided field until it's too late and he's the nominee. Unless the economy takes a turn for the worst, we get a socialist revolution against a great economy, and Trump gets re-elected by a comfortable margin. Maybe even gets a coat-tail effect in House swing districts. Then decides he can literally do whatever the fuck he wants for the next four years.

(2) Brokered convention, where Sanders either gets the nod or the party "establishment" and a coalition of moderates cock blocks him. If that happens, I have no confidence at all that Sandernistas not named Southdenverhoo will show up and vote for the Dem nominee. Trump also gets re-elected. Maybe in an *actual* landslide and maybe even retakes the house. Also feels emboldened and able to abuse his power in any way he feels fit.

(3) One of the moderates (maybe Bloomberg, maybe Kloubuchar, maybe Biden rights the ship, outside chance Mayor Pete) consolidates the moderate vote and older African American vote and wins. If that happens, very good chance the Dems take the white house if the Sanders contingent is capable of admitting they lost a fair fight and Sanders himself helps campaign for the Dem. Running mate may also be important. Lot of unknown there, but a good chance.

Not really seeing much else. I think there's more than a strong likelihood Trump gets re-elected regardless of which one comes to fruition. I'm almost certain he gets re-elected after a brokered convention unless the economy falls apart or he starts World War III.
