If Trump's election tells you nothing, it should be that most voters don't

clutch their pearls to nearly the same extent as the "political media" does. If that's what you're known for - like if Connor McGregor (or the American equivalent--I don't follow pop culture enough for an on target answer here) were running for President - I really don't think people would care that much.

Bloomberg less so because he's known for being a serious businessman and kinda buzzkill mayor trying to ban large sodas.
