If this drags on and many aren't able to earn a living, a thought
could we nationally put a 1 or 2 month pause on people having to pay mortgage, rent, utilities, car payments at least so they can keep a roof over their head and food on the table? I know that would probably fuck up other industries of people who work for companies that collect those payments, and landlords in terms of their own bills to pay, but that might be a sacrifice of a few to save many so to speak. In some cases you could always just add those months on the backside of any loan term schedule already in place I would think, rather than defaulting all of these people and adding penalties that would just make it harder to get back on their feet when this is over.
