Yes, some blame that you're assigning to 'globalists' who want to see more global interconnection could certainly be a part.

You can also blame business leaders, who tend to be a Republican bunch, for always searching out the low cost supplier, US jobs be damned!

Of course, that then shifts the blame to, well, almost every American and how we're so strongly motivated by price, US jobs be damned!

So hopefully US business leaders WILL start getting more supply chain diversification and hopefully US consumers will be willing to pay some more for that security in these situations.
