I hear you. Nice juxtaposition with the top post.


SK initially supported China with mask shipments and now the South Koreans want to burn the pres at the stake. I saw an opinion piece that asserts history pays pretty slim attention to the Spanish Flu pandemic, because people emerged from it feeling ashamed. Fear of disease does not bring out the best in us. People mostly wanted to forget how they’d acted.

How deeply would society be disrupted at this point in a pandemic with a much higher mortality rate?
