Yes. Need to keep liquidity in the markets but make sure the aid ...

gets down to the workers. You can't do that without restrictions on the stimulus package. A CEO's job is usually beholden to the shareholders. That means they are driven by Wall Street ... and therein lies the issue. They are looking to run an efficient business with a high ROIC relative to their sector. That's not always good for the common worker in the short term when share price performance is a major driver.

I believe in an efficient market. However, inflicting economic short / mid term pain to the common worker could be devastating. That's why companies need to be prudent on an upcyle in the economy. That's where the FED and this adminstration failed. They were too driven by short term market performance without grasping the big picture. We exposed ourselves to negative economic news. This adminstration had no Plan B in an adverse market except to be dishonest.

This is one of the many reasons exaggerate movements in the markets (either direction) are dangerous. The Trump adminstration was one of the biggest catalysts for such movements. Now we're looking at an inflationary environment in a potential recession. Let's hope oil prices remain suppressed while unions use common sense and restraint. Otherwise, unemployment could get ugly in the future.
