"Most people in most places" by definition is not "extreme"


Yes, there are certain parts of the country that have significantly adopted widespread social distancing & isolating measures, such as NYC, and we should see curve-flattening in those locations.

But other places have followed the psychology of thinking that since they only have a few cases, those measures aren't needed there. When we see flattening in some cities/states, we will see continued exponential growth in others that refuse to push for more significant lockdowns (until they do when it's too late).

As a country overall, we definitely are not at "extreme social distancing" yet.
