So I asked on 3/15 how fucked is our economy. Not many seemed that
worried. I bring this up because the botantical gardens in RVA just laid off 80% of its workforce. When we started the stay at home/shelter in place I never imagined all of these layoffs occurring. Look at all the department store layoffs. I know we passed the $2trillion emergency fund, but I honestly don't think it's going to bring back most jobs, especially jobs in the small business sector, when all is said and done. I think we are about to have an economic nightmare and there isn't really any escaping from it.
Some people went after me the first time for focusing on the economy instead of health crisis. I never said the economy was more important than the health crisis because it's not. That doesn't mean we can't have an honest discussion on what the long term economic effects of the Coronavirus will be.
