Too true. Instead we decided to try and do something that is all of the


following: more complicated, less effective, less efficient.

When we make it through this, we need to take a look at how we manage these types of bailouts (which seem to happen every decade or two). The idea that so few businesses and individuals can weather any type of crisis (how many people filed for unemployment before a single rent or mortgage check was due?) and the best way to address the situation is to just dump your workforce so they can apply for help just looks really fucked up right now. I'd like to do something that works better and costs less, honestly.
