In newspapers, opinion columns are generally reserved for the editorial pag


But the distinction certainly gets blurred on the 24 hour news channels weather Fox or CNN. With CNN I’ve got a general rule, if there’s more than one talking head on the screen then you’re Most likely getting opinions. And if there’s only oneTalking head on the screen you still might be getting opinion.
Internet sites can even be harder to discern. I generally look for the AP or UPI Trademarck or that of another news reporting organization to identify factual news reports

Doesn’t mean there aren’t facts peppered in, but it’s really up to the listener to decide the validity of the opinions based on the facts expressed, and what facts are missing but he/she would like to know
