But I have no idea why he made that comment about masks. The message on masks had been consistent. They don’t prevent the user from getting the disease but rather inhibit the ability of the user to give the disease. When the country is in shut down there is not nearly the same reason to wear a mask as when the country is opening up or people are attending crowded events.
