The Dems strategy lately seems to be to remain in the background and keep letting Donnie step in it.
So far that looks to be working.
I don't know that there's much to be gained by intentionally magnifying the issue. If it's a plan that Donnie isn't on board with, all you do is give the media cycle something else to talk about other than Donnie shitting the bed. Where's the win in that?
If it IS a plan that Donnie is on board with ... well ... I'm not really sure what that would look like. With nothing more than a House majority, Pelosi doesn't have any ability to actually DO anything.
