Yeah. He trails Biden in a Texas poll. More importantly, in his handling
of Covid there--the number one issue of his administration--he's underwater with a 52% disapproval, and Abbott's handling of the issue isn't much better, having plunged with the recent outbreak. We see now what Trump's state liberation push looks like after six weeks.
Obviously, now that Republican governors are taking a step backwards to reduce their infection, not to mention death, rates, he's running to get in front of that line. But he's morbidly obese. And he's old and weak and tired; it's tiresome trying to get in front of so many parades. Especially when everybody is booing from the sidewalks.
I read today that the two states where the Trump campaign is spending the most money are Florida and Ohio respectively. He's spending big to defend what he should have locked up. Plus his campaign is sluggish, and probably everyone is stealing like hell, not to mention the funneling to Trump properties at every hand. As Brad Paschale would no doubt put it, "Those yachts and oceanfront properties and jags ain't gonna pay for theselves."
