From politics, so I do agree with that.

Your point is that the Rays should put out an announcement of protest against kids caught in the crossfire in street violence, right? Because you think those things are the same as police brutality.

Any time a kid dies, it’s tragic. But society does not demand that we stop and obey street shooters if the say “you’re under arrest!”, and then allow our hands to be shackled behind our backs and placed in the back of a car with them. Society doesn’t demand that we trust criminals on the street.

Society does demand that we do that with cops. It takes very little to break down that trust. So I agree that sports doesn’t have to be a political podium. But this constant old whaddabout demanding that protestors hold crooks to the same standard they hold the police - time to go ahead and admit that’s a failed counter-protest strategy.
