If you think 18 is too young to vote, then change the minimum age for the military. Be consistent.

Furthermore, if you're concerned about "ignorant voters," age shouldn't be the standard. There are plenty of people older than 21 who are "worse educated." Should we put an "education" requirement for voters? It's a dangerous precedent. And how about senior voters? When do they become too old and senile to vote?

While I never look to teenagers for leadership, Dr. Gelernter is playing a dangerous game.
