Exactly- we should managing this as quickly as possible. Nobody

understands this better than thoughtful small business owners... It must be infuriating to look at the state of affairs here versus other developed markets that entered this phase at close to the same time. While I think there were plenty in the 'open to save the economy' camp, there are probably a lot more in the 'let's make this as quick as possible and please offer my business the safety net it needs' camp. Just get it done.

We're now in this limbo state. Things are open, but only kinda. People are out, but only kinda. And we're likely to be here for a while yet... And the bill just keeps getting higher and higher. This is why the failure to deal with the situation in a rational way is so disastrous. No data-driven decision-making. Piss poor expectation-setting and communications. No coordinated response. This is also why the culture war is so fucking stupid. But anyhow, LIBERATE [STATE]!, I guess? How stupid was that?
