Since there's no redeeming qualities to the person they chose to hitch their wagon to, they entire existence is fueled by the endless search of gotchas and whatabouts. And endless cycle of lying, denying, deflecting and projection. Basically, they want everyone else to be brought down to their level. So they ceaselessly try to find things the "libs" or the "left" say they stand for, then run deflection every time they think they caught a lefty with a hypocritical act. The result in their minds is to create the equivalency that allows them then to disregard the behavior of their own people because the "other guy" does the same thing. It's all just a race to the bottom.
