I once unwittingly scheduled a visit to the Black Hills of South Dakota and

the badlands, on our way to Yellowstone, the weekend Sturgis started. Had no idea. My 17-year-old son and I drove across country nonstop to the badlands. by the time we got to interstate 90 in the south eastern corner of South Dakota we were surrounded by motorcycles. It was bumper to wheel all the way across that state. We of course ran into bikers everywhere, in every park we went to, and every single one was as polite and nice as they could possibly be. We avoided Sturgis itself, basically driving through the Black Hills around it but other than the traffic we had no issues. Note, there was no pandemic in the summer of 2002.
