I honestly don't see anything rational to what he says anymore.


I don't think he has a plan other than to babble whatever word salad is in his brain at the moment.

The rational approach all along is to get together with Mitch and pass a Senate bill that some Dems could support and negotiate with Nancy. However, Mnuchin seems to think that the Senate R's will bend over once more for whatever deal he and Pelosi can cook up. I honestly don't think that will happen.

So, I guess you do have a point in that it will work out that way. But I doubt it's planned in any sense. It's just the only retreat position when Trump fails us miserably once again.
