For GOP voters, this election is an election on whether policy trumps

character. Some folks will vote for Trump because they fear the other party's policies (and I fully get that - as that is the dog whistle of both parties - you see it on this board all the time ) and will overlook his obvious character issues, some folks see no character issues and will vote for him no matter what (not sure those are former GOP or "new" GOP members picked up in the '16 election), and some folks will not vote for Trump because they believe his character and in particular his purposeful race bating plays into the hands of those foreign nations that would like to see our country fail by dividing us. I'm in the final camp.

Trump has done some good things.
- He has put the NeoCons in the corner,
- his stance with NATO is what I'd like to see (as I don't think we should be the world's police force when we are trillions in debt at home),
- the veterans health care bill that changed the way vets can get care (versus another failed try by insiders to fix the VA),
- ISIL is gone (and that was a huge issue 4 years ago...completely disappeared),
- his stance with China has created a massive change in the way businesses do business (most who were 100% tied to China for production needs, are now diversifying their supply chain and this started before the pandemic). These are actions that nobody, and certainly no lifetime jerk-off politician in Washington was going to take on.

He has done a number of things I don't care for (like ran up a huge bill for future generations), but underneath it all, he is an incredible liar and a phony, he lies so much he doesn't even know what the truth is. That thing with him and the bible across the street from the WH, really (Even more cringeworthy than Mark Warner's tuna melt video)? And come on, he supports white supremacist groups...I mean, WTF? Oh, and he was openly undermining our intelligence community, and openly undermines the legitamacy of our election process. Oh, and leaving the Kurds out to dry? The Soviets and China couldn't ask for a better spokesman in undermining our democracy and standing. I really don't care for the bloviating, but that in itself does not make me run from Trump.

Biden, I don't like him either. He isn't all there. Although he stated that "he" never received any money from overseas, he didn't say his family didn't. I do believe there is something there that the press is handling with kid gloves. Was it illegal..maybe not, was it completely unethical, absolutely (kinda like the Clinton Foundation). Lets face it, anyone in DC for 50 years, has dirt, and it is amazing how little dirt the press has uncovered on Biden. I mean, nothing at all (P.S. I dont have cable, so I don't get "those" channels). Heck they don't even focus on his voting record. Iraq War vote? I haven't heard anything on that. Decision to withdraw troops early from Iraq? Again, nobody questioned him. I mean, due to BLM, he's had to explain and spin a narrative around his crime bill vote. he has been wrong on important stuff so many times.

I am hoping Biden takes the opportunity to cement a lasting legacy in bringing the country together. And I'm willing to risk taht, to get the divider in chief (enemy of the state) out of the WH. P.S. I've never voted for a Democrat for President, and am generally a solid GOP at the local and state level.
